Cruising the remote and pristine areas of Indonesia from a world-class live-aboard
dive boat is one most pleasurable and iconic dive adventures available to an
underwater photographer. There are few yachts better suited to the task than the
Dewi Nusantara. 158-feet long with a 37-foot beam, she is massive and very stable,
with immense cabins, and a dedicated camera room on the forward deck. With 8
deluxe staterooms and a singe master suite, she accommodates just 18-passengers,
assuring ample space throughout, including a commodious dive deck.
Dewi Nusantara cruises throughout Indonesia, choosing her itineraries according to
optimal seasons. Departing Ambon, our cruise will include the best of the Banda
Sea, including the Eastern Forgotten Islands and Saumlaki. Also known as the
Southeast Moluccas, this is a 1,000 km chain of archipelagos stretching from Timor
to West Papua. Of the few boats that even visit the Forgotten Islands, they only do
so a couple of times per year, which is why we had to book the Dewi Nustantara so
far in advance to secure this unique itinerary. This is a rare privilege to be enjoying
these pristine underwater wonders, and one Stephen eagerly anticipates.
Note that this is a 12-day cruise, the additional time necessary given the extended itinerary.
* Additional boat-imposed fees to include Marine Park fee at $255 and Long Distance Cruise surcharge at $300
